SHP (Single Homeless Project)

Our service supports Camden residents who are in recovery from substance use issues. We will help you explore your education, training, volunteering or employment goals and develop a personal plan to help you achieve them. The support we offer varies and is tailored to your individual needs and aspirations. We offer:

Camden Town Shed - where you can 'work and chat with your mates'

Our workshop offers woodwork (joinery, turning, sculpture, marquetry etc) in open sessions on Tuesdays 10am-4pm (men only) and Wednesdays 10am-4pm (mixed) and in a closed tutored session for people needing support on Mondays 1.30-4pm. (Access on Mondays is by calling Alan on 07429 651 676). We also offer a clay hand-building class which meets each Wednesday from 2-4pm.

St Pancras and Somers Town Living Centre

The St Pancras and Somers Town Living Centre is a community centre offering health and wellbeing services to the St Pancras and Somers Town community, where local people help to co-design, deliver and use projects that tackle their own health, wellbeing, economic and social issues. The centre offers wide-ranging support and resources for local residents, around all aspects of health – from physical to mental health, ageing education to financial health education, professional training, counselling, career-advancing volunteering opportunities and more.

TOP UK - The OCD and Phobia Charity

TOP UK runs a network of self-help therapy groups for people living with phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and other related anxiety disorders. Our groups use a type of behaviour therapy which is based on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) principles and the work of Professor IM Marks. In many cases there is a long waiting list for therapy on the NHS but you should be able to access a TOP group immediately.
