What do we offer? 

Our service supports Camden residents who are in recovery from substance use issues. We will help you explore your education, training, volunteering or employment goals and develop a personal plan to help you achieve them. The support we offer varies and is tailored to your individual needs and aspirations. We offer:

  • One-to-one regular key-working sessions
  • Day programmes: recovery-focused, development-focused and employment-focused
  • Group sessions: offering a range of opportunities and the chance to meet new people
  • Access to computers and support for developing your IT skills
  • Mutual aid and peer support
  • Peer Mentor volunteering opportunities
  • Online groups
  • Social trips
  • Gardening
  • Arts, music and health and well-being Activities
  • Women's spaces
  • Support to access education, training and employment as well as volunteering

 

Camden Recovery Service has recently in April 2023 joined a new partnerships with the integrated Drug and Alcohol Services managed by CGL and are commissioned to provide recovery and aftercare support.

Who should use this service? 
Camden residents who are in recovery from substance use issues. We usually work with individuals for up to 24 weeks, or as a focused brief intervention for 6-12 weeks.

What is the referral process for this service? 
We prefer that referrals are made over the phone or via an emailed referral form. Details opposite. However, clients may wish to visit The London Irish Centre (Welfare Services entrance) 50-52, Camden Square NW1 9XB and indicate that they would like to speak to someone from SHP.
