A course suitable for service users, their family, carers and friends
Led by Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust, this course will explain the background to mental health tribunals and the roles of the tribunal panel. There will also be the opportunity to hear from people who have been through this process to help you understand what it feels like.
Free - Coping with Stigma and Discrimination
Stigma and discrimination are unfortunate facts of life. This course will give you a greater understanding of what stigma and discrimination are, and how to recognise them. Led by Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust, the course will look at what is meant by discrimination and stigma, and the different types of discrimination that may be encountered. The peer tutor will share their experiences of being stigmatised, and you will have the opportunity to share your experiences with the group.
The event is for those 18 years and over living in Camden or Islington

Camden Borough Users Group for mental health services hosts a weekly drop-in from 3-5pm each Tuesday.
Mental Health First Aid - Regular (Adults)
Who is it for? – This course equips participants in the same way as a physical first aid course, teaching participants how to give initial support to someone experiencing a mental health problem until professional treatment can be accessed.
The course is FREE to anyone who lives, works, studies or volunteers in Camden.
