Ex-Services? ‘Coping with life skills’, a new project for Veterans from Mind in Haringey

Free to access for anyone in London or surrounding areas with forces experience. Partners or dependants or family members are also welcome to get in touch. Six-week courses include the following topics: Anxiety, Self-esteem, Assertiveness, Anger and Stress. Mind in Haringey also offers an Art group, and One-to-One counselling for up to 10 weeks. Every Mind Matters
Public Health England launched England's first NHS campaign to improve mental health literacy this week.
The Every Mind Matters campaign is designed to help people, including patients and staff, discover simple steps to achieve better mental health. At its heart is a website full of expert advice and practical tips, including a free online tool which helps adults to build an action plan to deal with stress and anxiety, boost their mood, improve their sleep and help them feel more in control.
TOP UK - The OCD and Phobia Charity
TOP UK runs a network of self-help therapy groups for people living with phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and other related anxiety disorders. Our groups use a type of behaviour therapy which is based on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) principles and the work of Professor IM Marks. In many cases there is a long waiting list for therapy on the NHS but you should be able to access a TOP group immediately.
The Minded Clinic
The Minded Clinic provides yoga therapy and mindfulness sessions and courses. Their staff are all trained by the Minded Yoga Therapy program and have worked with the NHS, mental health organisations, social work and voluntary services.
