Camden Green Gym - May 2018 programme now out

Volunteering with Camden Green Gym is a great way to meet new people, improve your mental and physical wellbeing, and learn new skills whilst improving your local environment. Conservation Volunteers work across a large number of sites, from tiny hidden treasures, often unseen by the public, to major public spaces like Primrose Hill and Regent's Park.  Here is the May 2018 programme
 

Do you know someone who is in recovery from a substance use issue?

Camden Recovery & Islington Aftercare Services is holding weekly drop-ins for anyone who is in recovery from a substance use issue, helping them access education, training, employment and volunteering opportunities. Come and meet peer mentors, people with lived experience, at these sessions, which commence 26 June 18, SHP, London NW6.

Camden Free Adult learning courses – summer term starts soon

Did you know that there are free adult learning courses in community centres and libraries across the borough for people over 19?
 
Some classes are open to all, others are for particular groups such as older people, parents and carers, ESOL learners or people with learning disabilities. Tutors support people to move onto further learning, employment or volunteering opportunities. Here is a list of the available courses.
 

'Join in, feel good', with Camden Green Gym

Volunteering with Camden Green Gym is a great way to meet new people, improve mental and physical wellbeing and learn new skills. Opportunities stretch across the borough, from hidden nature areas to public spaces like Primrose Hill and Regent's Park. How about trying something new in 2018? This February, on Thursday 8 and 15, the charity is hosting free hedgelaying workshops. Meet at Regent's Park Hub Café at 10:45am.

Help sing your way to better mental health

Key Changes, the mental health charity that promotes better mental health through music, is organsing free, weekly singalongs at St Pancras Hospital. Open to all, come and join service users, NHS staff, volunteers and others from the local community. It’s fun, relaxed and friendly, and all levels are welcome - no previous experience is necessary. The choir sings folk, world, gospel, pop, reggae, classical and more! No audition required.
