What do we offer?

PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide is the UK charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide in young people.

Suicide is the biggest killer of people aged 35 and under in the UK. PAPYRUS believes that suicide is preventable. We draw from the experience of many who have been touched personally by young suicide across the UK and speak on their behalf in our campaigns and in our endeavours to save young lives. Together, we believe that with appropriate support and education, many young suicides can be prevented.

We deliver awareness and prevention training, provide confidential support and suicide intervention through HOPELINE247, campaign and influence national policy, and empower young people to lead suicide prevention activities in their own communities

If you or someone you know is struggling with substance abuse or suicidal thoughts, reach out to HOPELINE247 for free, confidential advice and support. Our suicide prevention advisers are here to support you around the clock every single day of the year, on 0800 068 4141. There is always hope, and there is always a way to get better.

Who should use this service?
HOPELINEUK (0800 068 41 41) is a confidential support and advice service for young people under the age of 35 who are experiencing thoughts of suicide or anyone concerned that a young person could be thinking about suicide.
