We rehabilitate people with mental health problems by supporting them into employment, work placements, training and education. We support social inclusion, confidence building and preparation for work, for example by giving members ownership and responsibility for the running of the Clubhouse together with staff (The Workday Programme) – co-producing recruitment, publicity, catering, retail, maintenance, administration and finance and other business functions. The service is suitable for those looking for work or for those who simply want to engage in work related activities increasing confidence and we have a number of in house enterprises including an external catering service and retail snack bar outlet which is open to the public.
We are part of the Mental Health Working partnership with Remploy and Twining Enterprise, providing employment and training opportunities for people across Camden and Islington with mental health problems. This includes access to on-going one-to-one information advice and guidance from dedicated employment support workers based in a wide range of community venues across Camden and Islington and at the Clubhouse itself.
Clubhouse members engaging on the Workday Programme also have access to our Recovery! Project which provides support on a range of practical problems.
