The Friday Club (drop-in club) is a service run by C4WS Homeless Project and the King’s Cross Methodist Church. It opens every Friday between 11am and 2pm offering a safe and welcoming space for those people in need. This includes street homeless, those who have previously been homeless, those living below the poverty line and those who are socially isolated. We have capacity for 50 visitors each Friday who are able to access the Club where they can get refreshments, a hot and healthy lunch, showers, donations of clothing and toiletries. There is also a member of staff from C4WS on hand to provide welfare support to those needing it. This might be around housing, employment, paperwork, health, Foodbank needs and emotional requirements.”
Our Winter Shelter Programme operates from the beginning of November to the end of March each year and is supported by a network of 13 Camden churches. We are a volunteer-run, low-support needs night shelter and offer a stay of 28 days. Referrals to the shelter come from specialist Camden-based agencies. (http://c4wshomelessproject.org/help/i-am-homeless). We do not accept self-referrals.
We work holistically with each individual to support them with finding more stable housing. Guests can access our mentoring and befriending scheme, English classes and C4WS Jobs Club.
Friday Club is open to all - just come along. C4WS's Winter Shelter Programme is by agency referral only.
