A course suitable for service users, their family, carers and friends
Led by Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust, this course will explain the background to mental health tribunals and the roles of the tribunal panel. There will also be the opportunity to hear from people who have been through this process to help you understand what it feels like.
Knowledge gained will empower service users, their family, carers and friends to take control of what can often be an intimidating experience. The course will cover guidance on reporting in relation to tribunals and address why it is essential that participants are listened to. The session will also explore the possibilities and guidance available if you might be facing a tribunal, and offer advice and help to you as well as the people supporting you through the process.
