London Hearing Voices Network (LHVN) Meeting

The London Hearing Voices Network regular meeting which is open to members and facilitators of hearing voices groups.

The LHV Network meetings are primarily a chance for Hearing Voices Group Facilitators to meet other facilitators, share success, gain support around challenges and are open to group members as well. If you are currently not a group member but would like to attend please contact John Wetherell at 0207 241 8978.

The speaker at this meeting will be Mick Mckeown, Professor of Democratic Mental Health at the University of Central Lancashire who has had a lengthy career as a mental health nurse and researcher, with a long-lasting interest in power and equality.  He takes a critical view of mental health care.  Mick's co-authored article with lead author Helen Spandler Exploring the case for truth and reconciliation in mental health services  published in the Mental Health Review Journal - https://www.emeraldinsight.com/doi/abs/10.1108/MHRJ-01-2017-0011 - was selected in July 2018 as an Outstanding Paper in the 2018 Emerald Literati Awards.
