Free. Surviving or Thriving: a public conversation on mental health

Mind Yourself, icap (Immigrant Counselling and Psychotherapy) and Irish in Britain are marking Mental Health Awareness Week, 8-14 May, with a special public event.  

Speakers are: 

Dr Mary Tilki, Interim Chair of Irish in Britain who has researched the physical and mental health of the Irish community in Britain and will talk about dementia, a particular issue for the older Irish community in London; Catherine Hennessy, CEO of icap, who will present 'Crossing Thresholds: Adapting icap’s therapy services to meet the changing needs of the Irish community; and Brian Hanley, Mind Yourself, who will describe how the charity supports and promotes good mental health and well being, and what we can all do to address the mental health issues faced by Irish people in London.
