What do we offer? 
As the only London-based charity for homeless Scots, we provide the services that we know address the needs of our clients to enable them to move away from homelessness. Every rough sleeper can and should be helped off the streets to lead their life in a sustainable way.
Our primary objectives are:
  • Tackle homelessness wherever possible
  • Prevent rough sleeping
  • Ensure clients have access to appropriate specialist help
  • Support our clients with access to a wide range of accommodation options
We support our clients to make sure they get the right help. Our services include:
  • Helpline and walk-in service
  • An outreach service working pan London
  • Referral paths to specialist support services
  • Support securing appropriate accommodation
  • Advocacy support
  • Counselling
  • Financial grants and budgeting support
  • Facilitating reconnections to Scotland or elsewhere
  • Household starter grants
  • Clothing grants of up to £150
  • Provide birth certificates for identification purposes
  • Help clients access employment, training and volunteering opportunities.

Who should use this service? 
Borderline is a charity supporting Scots who are experiencing homelessness in London (within a 35 mile radius of Charing Cross), to be eligible for support a client must be:
1. a person born in Scotland, or;
2. the child of a person born in Scotland, or;
3. the widow, widower or surviving member of a civil partnership of a person born in Scotland.
