This service is free
What do we offer?
The Nubian Users’ Forum (NUF) is an independent group within Camden and Islington for African and African/Caribbean people, who use or have used mental health and substance misuse services. NUF works to combat the social stigmas associated with mental health and raises awareness of the isolation, racism, discrimination and over-medication experienced by those within this group. Members help shape the commissioning and development of statutory and voluntary services in and out of the borough.

The group meets to discuss alternative ways in which to improve members' lives and the services available to them and their peers. Topics for discussion vary from personal mental health journeys, hospital admissions, training opportunities, over-medication and their side effects, coping with changes to mental health services and benefits. Read about the ethos of the group, when it meets and how to find out more.
