What do we offer?
We provide accommodation for seafarers - both active and retired - as well as ex-servicemen, and other adults in need of accommodation. Established as a Seamen’s Mission of the Methodist Church, Queen Victoria Seamen's Rest (QVSR) is now Britain’s largest provider of accommodation of its kind.
Who should use this service?
Although our origins are as a seafarers mission, we provide accommodation for the benefit of any person having need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity, disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances.
What is the referral process for this service?
Referrals for accommodation can be made either through an agency or as a self-referral via the website or by telephoning the QVSR.
