What do we offer? 

Imkaan is a UK-based, black feminist, umbrella organisation dedicated to addressing violence against black and minority ethnic women and girls.

Our work includes:

  • support to women and girls sector through the provision of information, capacity building and peer support
  • advocacy to ensure that policy and practice is reflective of their experiences of violence
  • research, newsletters and publications
  • accredited training and peer education, including specialist sessions on domestic violence, forced marriage and ‘honour-based’ violence.
  • policy work and development on structural inequality, racism, VAWG, intersectionality, and racial microaggressions. 

The website includes useful telephone numbers of other organisations that support women.

 

Who should use this service? 
Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) women who are experiencing domestic violence.
