What do we offer?

Thrive is a small national charity which uses gardening to improve physical health and emotional wellbeing. Watch this video to find out more about their work.

From Battersea Park, Thrive welcomes keen and budding gardeners of all abilities.  Read about Thrive's events programme at Battersea.

The benefits?

  • Getting out in the fresh air. Gardening can be great physical exercise, which in turn helps to boost your mood!
  • Working at your own pace, doing as much or as little as you like, and getting a sense of achievement from the result!
  • Regular gardening can help bring a new structure to your life as gardening is fun and allows you to express your creativity!

Who should use this service?
Thrive can accept referrals from a number of sources such as GPs, local charities and local authorities, family members or self-referrals. Initial enquiries will be followed up with a meeting between you and the Garden and Client Manager or the Regional Centre Coordinator to better understand your needs and to assess the most suitable programme.

We then ask for a variety of forms to be completed (either by you or your referrer) along with a risk assessment from a healthcare professional before confirming a start date.

Initial enquiries should be made to Regional Centre Coordinator, Freddy Owen. Freddy.Owen@thrive.org.uk. Tel. 020 7720 2212.
